I was so excited when Regan showed me what she was planning to wear for her session. I always advise seniors choose a variety of outfits and Regan really took that to heart when she chose these three. Once I knew which outfits she had planned to wear, I was able to suggest the order in which she should wear them. This part of the planning is so important because it determines where within a location a particular outfit will be photographed. Because the first outfit was neutral and more formal, it photographed particularly well when in front of architectural elements. The other two outfits had bright pops of color and seemed more playful. I wanted to emphasize that so we used spots with foliage and pretty backlight. All this planning allowed us to capture three distinct looks for Regan’s senior session.
