WHAT PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
I offer family, child, lifestyle newborn, engagement, maternity, personal branding, high school senior, and pet sessions.
WHAT IS A PERSONAL BRANDING SESSION?
A personal branding session is great for entrepreneurs, creatives, bloggers, or anyone who wants to promote their brand and market themselves. The photos capture the essence of your brand and put your personality on display helping you better connect with your audience!
WHERE WILL MY SESSION TAKE PLACE?
I am an on-location photographer. I utilize the beautiful parks, nature preserves, and urban neighborhoods in and around Saint Louis for sessions. Upon scheduling, we will work together to decide where to have your session based on your aesthetic desires. I can also travel to your home and this is recommended for newborn sessions.
WHAT SHOULD I/WE WEAR?
There is no need to be too matchy-matchy. I advise my clients to choose a color palette and coordinate their outfits accordingly. I encourage textures, layers, and accessories so that we can play around with the look throughout your session. It is typically best to avoid busy or distracting patterns, large logos, and text on clothing unless that is something you deliberately wish to include in your photographs. Avoiding such elements helps the focus remain on the individuals as opposed to the clothing.
HOW LONG IS A SESSION?
Family, Engagement and Senior sessions take about 1-1.5 hours. Newborn sessions can often take up to 2 hours.
CAN I BRING MY DOG?
Of course! In fact, I encourage it! Pets are a huge part of our lives and I love including them in all types of sessions. If you do choose to bring a pet along I highly recommend you also invite a friend or family member to help out with the pet throughout the session.
WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY MATERNITY SESSION?
Maternity sessions are usually scheduled in the last trimester around 27-36 weeks. However, it is important to me that you feel comfortable for your session so if you prefer to schedule earlier in your pregnancy we can certainly do so.
WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY NEWBORN SESSION?
It is recommended you contact me while you are still pregnant so that I can pencil you in for your preferred post-due date session. Because babies are born on their own terms you will then contact me after the birth to confirm the session. If we need to move the session ahead or push it back to accommodate your little one's arrival that isn't a problem!
HOW MUCH DOES A SESSION COST?
Sessions begin at $200. Please contact Amelia for full investment details.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS ON THE DAY OF MY SESSION?
Should it rain when your session is scheduled we will simply find another date and time that works for you!
WILL I SEE ALL THE IMAGES TAKEN AT THE SESSION?
No, you wont. I spend hours after the session going through the images and I eliminate duplicates, test shots, shots that are not technically up to par, shots with poor facial expressions, and all other images that would not lend themselves to a strong collection of photographs. You will end up with the strongest photos from the session that express the personality and beauty of the individual or individuals photographed.
DO YOU RETOUCH THE IMAGES?
Yes, I personally retouch every image with my unique signature style of post-production. This involves, but is not limited to, color correction, exposure adjustment, selective black and white processing, and other corrections. I also include advance retouching in all sessions. Advance retouching involves removal of blemishes, diminishing bags under the eyes, removing distracting elements, whitening teeth, etc. Custom retouching (i.e. braces removal) can be added for a fee.

WHERE WILL I SEE MY IMAGES AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Your images will be completed within three weeks of your session. If you require the images to be completed prior to three weeks after the date of your shoot, please mention this when booking and we can discuss your desired timeline and subsequent fee.
At or prior to your session, we will schedule your reveal session (you can come to my home studio or I can travel to your home). During your reveal session you will view the photos from your session and place print and product orders!
DO YOU SELL CUSTOM CARDS?
I do sell custom cards! These are fabulous for graduation announcements or invitations, holiday cards, newborn announcements, or save-the-date cards! After your images are complete we will work together to create a one-of-a-kind card that is tailored to your unique style and includes the color scheme, text, and photos of your choosing.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
The retainer fee is paid online using a credit card. I accept cash, check, or credit for the session fee as well as print and product orders.
DO YOU SELL THE HIGH-RESOLUTION FILES?
I do sell the high-resolution images. For further information please contact Amelia.
WILL I RECEIVE THE LOW-RESOLUTION FILES?
Following the reveal session, I will provide you with the low resolution files of each image that you purchased a print or product of. The low-resolution files are great for viewing the images digitally and sharing on social media or through email. I also share a select few images on Facebook and Instagram and welcome my clients to share those posts on their own social media accounts.
DO YOU BACKUP THE IMAGES?
I sure do! At any given time there are at least two copies of the images that I keep indefinitely!
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark iv and a variety of Canon prime and zoom lenses.
DO YOU SHOOT IN RAW?
Yes. Shooting in RAW guarantees I get the best quality image detail.
